Experts Discussed Prospects for Introducing Criminal Liability of Legal Entities

At the Expert Center for Criminal Law Policy “Business Russia” discussed the issue of introducing criminal liability of legal entities into Russian legislation. The discussion took place within the framework of the round table “Criminal liability of legal entities: a course towards harmonization of legislation in the new conditions”. The meeting was moderated by Anton Danilov-Danilyan, Deputy Chairman of Business Russia, Deputy Chairman of the Public Council of the Ministry of Industry and Trade, Chairman of the Expert Council of the Industry Development Fund, and Ekaterina Avdeeva, Head of the Expert Center, Member of the General Council of Business Russia, ambassador “business officer”, Associate Professor, IGSU RANEPA under the President of the Russian Federation, Ph.D.. Alexander Fedorov became the guest of honor of the event, ведущий научный сотрудник Центра уголовного, criminal procedure legislation and judicial practice IZiSP.

В рамках мероприятия особое внимание было уделено теоретическому, практическому и историческому аспектам проблематики, а также содержательной части и особенностям введения в разных юрисдикциях. Участники встречи сошлись во мнении, что вопрос должен быть проработан в отечественном законодательстве и включен в уголовную политику, так как, предполагается, that this innovation will contribute to the whitewashing of business without significant costs and flaws in law enforcement, as well as take into account individual circumstances of the current economic life.

Positions of supporters and opponents of the introduction of criminal liability of legal entities, as well as specific proposals are indicated in the final materials of the Expert Center.
